Once again, the flyfishermen of Singapore gathered together for a purpose. This time round, we are here to form a new club - Fly Fishing Singapore.
A total of 21 men and women came together with the same mind and agenda.
Eversince Fly Fishing Singapore Forum was formed, many people out there think that we are just minority and whatever we claimed that we might do are all talks only. Today, we proved them wrong and we are all walking our talk.
We all know that using our mouths to commit is easy but everyone seemed to be so filled with energy and excitment, very ENCOURAGING! Walk the talk is no longer a say say thing only liao.
There are so many things brought out and all came to the same conclusion. No one in the meeting is against the formation of the club. I sure bet Mr Qwek was enjoying the whole thing as an organiser. Everyone has the passion and flyfishing in Singapore is a passion not to be left out. We want to be heard too.
During the meeting, many came to know that someone in the government is also a flyfishermen. The current project at Bedok Reservoir is deemed incompetent and changes are absolutely necessary. This is also very encouraging too as finally, we have someone up above in the governemnt sings the same song with us. We are blessed!
As time went by, many needed to go as it was Sunday and many gave up their family day for this meeting. Before we left, we decided to have another meet up asap - 04 Dec 05.
The next meeting is to talk about setting up a booth for flyfishing demonstration at Bedok Resvr as there will be another event coming up in December. We have to act swiftly and we leave no space for LAG!
Ladies and gentlement, 04 Dec 05, we shall all meet again.
"Ladies.... gentlemen.... we have a war here. We shall win this war by all means.... "
