After some discussion in the office, we have decided to implement Sun's Special on Sat's too...
Now, anglers would get to win cash prizes when they fish at Pasir Ris Pro Fishing during the weekend (Sat and Sun). Cash prizes will start at 1500hrs (3pm) on both days...
If only such things happen back then when I was a kid fishing...
$10/per fish...

I am sick... my pc too...
I was sick yesterday... a terrible head splitting headache got me hard...
Somehow, my pc got sick too...
It is now sitting beside my door, waiting to be taken to the 'clinic'.
Looked through the tons of work I have to do and have no choice but to get myself a new 'toy'.
Yesterday, before I left my house to the pond, the pc died when I was in the washroom. I didnt have time to check it out and thus... a 'bloody mess' was left alone.
I came home later in the night to realise that it refused to boot... I had no more strength to give it a second look. My headache got me on my bed fast...
It has been a long time since I have a terrible headache...
I took two tablets of Panadol... and went to sleep...
I woke up in the morning feeling alright at first... then I decided to play doctor and patient with my pc...
NO LUCK!!!
I desperately needed a pc... and I need to get on the net...
I left the house just before 11am today... my head was still heavy...
I went out and got a few things done... including buying myself a new toy...
a SONY VAIO VGN-FE18GP...
That is how I am blogging now... (the headache still refuses to leave me alone... at least it isnt that bad now...)
My old pc is still sitting by the door, waiting for me to send it to the 'doctor'...
My precious AMD 64bit, 3.5Ghz is lying inside the MOBO... useless...
Oh well... at least now I am having fun and getting my work done with my new intel Core Duo. It came with free upgrade to 1G of DDR II and Microsoft Office STE too... (till 31st March 06 only).
I am a Sony user... yes...
Sony walkman + discman + minidisc + cordless phone + many more (old times)
Sony Cybershot F505
Sony Vaio (AMD... went to the rainbow bridge liao...)
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation 2
Sony Cybershot T3
Sony Ericsson W800i
Sony Vaio VGN-FE18GP
My next Sony product? 32" LCD TV... (not now..... no time to play ACECOMBAT IV OR V with it... or maybe the latest PS3!!!)

"JOYEUX NOEL"
15th March 2006, 11.05pm.
I had nothing to do... my eyes blanked at the LCD screen infront of me...
Looking thru the movies that I could get to watch, I chose a family title which I couldnt remember what now... then "Chicken Little"... somehow... these two movies just didnt load... (I wonder why?)
Going thru all the titles again... the word 'Noel' caught my eyes....
"JOYEUX NOEL"
Since young, I am fascinated by movies about wars... especially those dedicated to real soldiers.
This movie is one of those too.
I studied history in my secondary school days but I have never heard about this incident or ever read about it.
The axis (germans) and allies played football, buried the dead, had card games, shared coffee, sing... becoz it was Christmas Eve. They chose to cease fire for it was Christmas...
The allies also saved the germans from being shelled by artilleries...
These is indeed a miracle... Miracles do happen even in wars...
Somehow, this strengthen my faith in my believe in my Lord Jesus Christ. God is real.
Amen!

Next time... if u want to buy fish... just come to the pond...
This is our regular... and our regulars' catches.
Somehow I still have people complaining to me that they caught no fish in 3hrs...
I remembered...
Me, "How's your catch today?"
Angler, "So so only lah... today very slow..."
Me, "Is it?"
Angler, "Yalor..."
Later on... I saw him smiling from ear to ear... he had 6 big plastic bags of fish...
Pls tell me... "What is good fishing?"
This kid made our day in the office
My favourite bay's.
After testing out several of my new bay's collection, I found a favourite among them. Other than the hooks are abit weak (but sharp), the lure is a good buy.
Hard body, scratch resistance relatively good, tight swimming action and nice rattle within the body.
Time after time, this lure caught me lots of barramundis. Although I was fishing in a commercial pond, barramundis seem to love this lure particularly. I caught several bigger ones with this lure at night. In the day, golden snappers are common too. In the night, I fished this lure at super slow retrieve. Twitching it once in a while.
This lure in the picture is actually my second one. The first one went 'elang' (missing) in my office... or did I lost it to a fish...??? My memory is failing me... LOL
Just to share a few more fish caught on this lure. Barramundis only. The golden snappers always escaped at the last moment before landing... the hook bent... (checked the drag... not very tight leh... it's time to change the hooks)

Just before the drizzle...
I am now sitting in my office infront of the pc, looking into the sky. I see clear blue sky but the thunder did not stop clapping for the past 30mins.
From my online friends, Bedok, Tampines etc... are are raining heavily but over here... raining too but barely wetting the floor only.
At this time when I am writing this... the rain drops got smaller and smaller... till it looks like 'hair'. It sure reminds me of my stay in Seattle, USA when I was there in 2002. God blessed my tour with beautiful weather when I was there for a week. Only the last day, it rained like Seattle. Similar to what is going now... OOPS!!! The rain stopped already.
About 20mins ago, I managed to snap two happy anglers with their beautiful catches.
I bet they must have enjoyed the moment...

Are you wondering too?
Many people were asking me what were those barramundis for? Where?
Actually, these fish are from Kimberly, Australia. These fish ended up in Murdoch University in Perth for conservation studies.
This is what my deary is studying about, CONSERVATION SCIENCE.
Aint she cool?
YEAH!!!

6.1kg Barramundi
A mistake or what.....???
Today, as usual, I was riding my mountain bike to Pasir Ris Town Park and guess what I saw...
Yucks!!! What could that be???
It sure looked like some chemical or paint... all into the storm drain...
There are always people fishing further down the drain for tilapia and they actually bring the fish back home to eat...
Should I call someone and who should I call???

Itchy... backside...
This morning, I woke up and in my mind I could still clearly recollected what happened last night...
"bay's" night!!!
The new lures are indeed working and pretty much up to expectation too.
Suddenly, I had a crazy idea...
"Where are my 'MAD MULLETS'?"
I dug through my lures and finally, I found some of them... covered with dust... I used my fingers to dust off the dust and packed them in my little OUTDOOR backpack.
Finally, I had a little time to test out one... my favourite... yellow with black stripes...
On my second cast to my favourite spot... I winded like 5 rounds... I felt a tug... I striked...
"Boom!" (The water surface exploded... a big barramundi exploded into the air!!!)
I fought the fish for 5mins... my Cal50's drag was locked but the line just went...
It didnt take long for that uncandy thing to happen... a bust off in the snag...
Backside itchy... I lost my favourite lure which is already 10yrs old...
Argh.....
