Hey, this is my new keyboard and mouse by Microsoft. Naturally set with translicent key. Soft and easy to type for the keys. Smoothie scroll for the mouse except it is a little heavy during initial use. Many useful buttons built-in for easy access. Your mouse would not have to work so hard in the future with this combo. I love it. Wireless too. I have been looking for such a keyboard for awhile after my very old, 10 years old one, decided to give up on me. No more wrist pain and thus, 10 happy fingers! Hurray! Posted by Hello

My precious, Skippy. I love you. Posted by Hello

I feel sad today...

Today, I feel very sad.

Yesterday, I was mad.

Tomorrow, I wish I could smile.

My heart is so heavy.

My life is in a mess.

I tried hard to get it around but it just does not work as it does not concern me only. I feel so lifeless. My heart is crying... so frequently and the real things gonna show up. I feel I might have a heart attack one day and my dog, Skippy will be one of the richest dog in the world when he benefits from the insurance. Only Skippy knows when I am sad. He will wack his tail and lick me to say that he loves me. He would sleep under my chair when I am busy. Busy, playing games. Guarding me. He is a Jack Russell Terrier. A handsome one. Always waiting to please me and always waiting to play with me. He is my best friend.

Why? WHy?? WHY??? This is what I hear everyday. I want to run away, with Skippy. To a river, to a stream, across the ocean, anywhere where I could still fish a little. It just does not matter where, as long as I fish to live and able to survive, I would be contended. Otherwise, I wish my breathe would not moist that window anymore...

My heart aches... literally and physically. My mind is lost. My soul lags. My spirit is giving up.

I can feel the pain again. More acute this time. In my right leg. I am in pain. I fell asleep enduring the pain with sweats on my face. I still refuse pain killer as anyway, it does not heal but just numb my mind. I wake up to nightmare. I readily sleep to run away, for awhile. I can run but I still cannot hide... I need to do somethingelse which will work and last a life time and so that I could smile again... I am forgetting how to smile already... *grins* FAKE!

I would be better off in the cyberworld but I know it provides only temporary relief. Pain killer?

I could feel that the time is coming, but WHAT?

I am in a corner, having no where to turn.

I wish I am... NOT THIS *&$%ING THOUGHTS AGAIN?!?!?!?!

Just leave me alone, will you all?!?!?!?!

I could see my limit... hanging like a thread infront of me...

I think I am going insane if I carry on like this...

Palm Fruit Mimic (buck tail material, size 6)

My good friend, David Neo, is heading up to M'sia this on this Fri (tomorrow) for surfcasting competition. He is also a flyfisherman. As usual, he would not forget his fly outfit. His target this round is the infamous, PACU.

It is also a good chance for me to let him test some flies which I tied myself for this fish. Pacu eats palm fruit, those from the oil palm trees in M'sia. Thus I came up with this little size 6 mimic. Material used is buck tail instead of deer hair. ( I dont have any deer hair for info. ;P)

Hopefully he would come back with some wonderful catch reports and also, wish him all the best in the surfcasting competition. David, please make Singapore proud!!! Otherwise... kekekeke... ;P Posted by Hello

2nd ACT (advance cartilage transplant)

If you have have been wondering why am I not posting anything fishy lately, this is the answer.

I suffered a broken ankle when I was in Arizona, USA 2000. The Emergency Ward doctor failed to detect my broken ankle and concluded that I had only a ligament tear.

"You should be fine in a few days time.", he said.

It was only after more than half a year, some other nice flight surgeon decided to investigate further as I complained of chronic pain in my ankle and then he discovered that I was actually suffering from a broken right ankle.

I WAS DOING EVERYTHING WITH IT FOR 7 MONTHS!

From then, I always suffer from CHRONIC pain in my ankle although the cast brought the ankle back together. Further investigation, the USAF specialist found out that the ankle suffered complication due to the neglience, cartilage defficiency!

I had gone through 5 surgeries now and two more waiting. 31st March 2005 will be my 6th. Number 5, 6 & 7 is a repeated ACT (Advance Cartilage Transplant) procedure. The first one was done in USA by USAF doctors, a orthoscopy. 2, 3 & 4 were in Singapore for the first ACT procedure which failed. This second ACT is to arrest the problem but it would only be sufficient to prevent further damage as healing process within the ankle is too slow compared to the wear and tear.

Doctors locally has concluded that I am permanently disabled in my right ankle but somehow, I am facing lots of difficulty in my claims. RSAF doctors is taking too long to access my condition and the AMD is taking too long to process my injury report.

I am really lost at times as my contract with the air force is coming to an end and my condition is going to affect me for the rest of my life and I am not getting any compensation yet or maybe not a single cent from insurance or anybody. How am I suppose to carry on out there with an ankle which bears much pain day in day out with every single steps I take. This is too much to bear. I am married, have lots of commitment and this is a huge burden for me. I am not sure if I am able to find a job and a company willing to take me in for such a chronic ankle condition.

Any readers out there who might be reading this, please advice me. I would really want to file a case against the USAF medical services. How should I go doing it? Any kind souls, please help me. The pictures you see here right now are the results of harvesting for cartilage from my right knee to implant it into my ankle. God, help me!

If you have any recommendation or you are inclined to law in regards to my condition, pls email me at mindtheshark@msn.com and I would gladly digest them. If you are a lawyer who is willing to take up my case against the USAF, please contact me too. Your professionalism will be greatly appreciate. Any great samaritians?

I hope I would not be setting up a donate button here one day, asking for donation to live on. I still have many dreams to fulfill. With such a chronic condition, doctors tell me that I might end up a crippled if the condition decided to turn to the worst. I do not know if I could even fish after the procedure is completed as no gaurantee for ACT. I prayed that things will iron out along the way but the hopes are faint without much faith.

HELP!!!

*I might sound desperate but I really am. If you are in my shoes, you would be the same. Think about the future medical fees which I have to bear, your bank account would shiver.*

I dont know what to call this fly. It is made up of size 2 hook, EMU feather and bucktail. Any suggestion? Generally, I think it is a wooly bugger look alike. First time using a EMU feather which I got it from Canada through the post. Pretty nice feathers, really.  Posted by Hello

CR 20050213 Yishun Pond (small)

Broke that zero early. First fish of the day. Before this, I hooked up a golden snapper, a big one but lost it to the wooden poles. 14lbs fireline still cant stop that fellow from freedom dash. On the whole, fishing is good today. I hooked up two and Uncle Roger got one all on one rod. Check out his big bright smile!!! I bet we would be back again. The down side of the day, I lost three big golden snappers. THREE!!! Two burst off. The second one was even faster than the first. The third one was lost while trying to land it. It is about the length of my arm. I fought hard and managed to pull it away from snags several times but fate takes it from me. Nevermind, I will be back to fight again, soon. Fishing is always so fun!!! ;P Posted by Hello

The second hook up, by Uncle Roger. Check out his sweet smile. ;P Posted by Hello

CR 20050205 Bait Fishing (sandworms)

20050205, I went fishing with my wife and her relatives. Target? Whitings. It was not very productive as only managed to hook up these. What were the bonuses of the day? Countless fork tail catfish were landed and released. These whitings are great for eating and heard that the oil from this fish is particularly good for our bodies. Perhaps, we should have started earlier rather than 3pm. Hopefully we would the next round. Posted by Hello

New prototype, shrimp fly.

Life's been hard for me lately as I am not able to find some time to fish. I think I am talking nonsense... hahaha. While I was free, I whipped up this little shrimp like thing and just cant wait to find time to test it in the salt. If not, I think I will be whipping a few more colors of it... sadz... CR 20050113

After almost like a year of waiting and dreaming of catching a pacu, the dream finally came true.

I started out fishing, slightly later than normal to my usual fish hole but at a different part of the bank. Saw a few good size peacock bass and none of them seem to be interested to strike. Very slow. I didnt land any fish at all.

Later, I proceed to salt. Dreaming of getting another fish at where I landed my first flat head. The wind was pretty strong and had to face the danger of hooking myself in the wind. Damn, I need to work on that back hand. Things were pretty promising at the start of it. My friend and I saw flashes and shadows behind our flies. Guess what? In less than 10mins, the flashes and shadows all disappeared and never appeared again. No fish landed at second spot.

I proceed to a third spot, salty too. Oh my goodness! Jelly fish everywhere! How to fish? Did some casting hoping for miracles though. No miracles indeed.

Proceed to a forth spot. Fished for less than half an hour... my friend and I were baked and pretty well done on the outside. My friend was having fun with his dry flies and catching those small little critters. He even had 4 fish already at the first proceeding.

Half a day had gone by and we had fished four places, I still get a big fat zero.

We decided to make it to our fifth and final fish hole. In my heart, I had already given up. Still, a little flame of hope still kept me going somehow.

We finally made it there. The sky was getting dark and on the surface or that fish hole, water was boiling everywhere. Quickly, I made my first cast with a crazy charlie tied on a Owner Size 2 circle hook at the end of the line. Immediately, something hit my fly but never connect. My heart was pumping rapidly and hoping to catch my first fish for the year of 2005 (still have not caught anything yet, this is the second fishing trip). My little flame was dying with the sun disappearing across the horizon. When darkness engulfed the sky, all seemed to be so quiet and peaceful. I had a few hits along the way and it just did not connect.

Just when I thought that all things were going amiss for me... my fly was hit hard. 3-5 hits per cast. NO HOOK UPS!!! OMG!!! My pulse was hitting the double and my hope was digger deeper. I was pondering should I change the fly to a normal hook so that it would be easier for a hook up. Somehow deep within me, I could feel peace. I told myself that even if I change it, destiny would still be the same. I kept that fly stripping along the bottom further.

Tuck! Jerk! Whamp! Fish-ON!!!!!

A forceful hook up on the third hit. Immediately, I could see my fly line airing. Although it was not blistering, but it was still good enough to feel the heat from the friction between the fly line and my fingers. My slack clear almost immediately. Once the loose end got tighten, my fly reel started to spin. I could see the reflection off the reel from the street lights around me. Indeed, the fish was taking line. My heart was pounding faster than ever within these 20s of action.

This tug of war lasted for about slightly more than 10mins with several runs. In the dark, I could make out what fish did I catch. My friend believed that it is a pacu and indeed, the fish finally surfaced and we caught a glimpse of its silvery body. My first pacu.

I felt so relief that the fish actually got landed and I quickly managed a few shots before releasing it back to the fish hole to be caught another day.

What a great fish to be caught first in the list for the year 2005.

Stay tune, more fish and more varieties in this year ahead. Hopefully.

Cl^.^P

CLose up on the crazy fly. Thank goodness! The hook point didn't meet the eye. It is a size 2 Owner Circle hook charlie. Posted by Hello

My new toy!!!

On the 1st of Jan 2005, my pal past me this thing call FoxFury Outdoor thing which has 24 high intensity LEDS. Once in my hand, I could feel that this thing is a quality product from the material used and finishing of it.

The one that I now have belongs to the outdoor version. It is super bright.

I went home that night and gave it a test. I put it on even before opening the door. It was almost 11.30pm, sure it was dark with no lights on in my unit. WOW!!! I literally moved around the house without turning on a light, serious! I went to the kitchen to get a drink, washroom and then sat in my room reading letters simply using this thing on my head only. COOL! My eyes did not even strain at all.

This thing felt like it was almost weightless after 15mins of use. It is so comfortable, light and super bright without any shadows from the unit itself. Perfect!

I have it in my bag no matter where I go now. Maybe it is just for the fun of it but when the sky gets dark... the fun begins... kekekekeke

It is batteries operated, AA x 04. Last up to 5-7 hours for continious use. Its beam is 260 Foot Candles. Beam intensity is catered specifically for human eyes in each colors and wavelength. It is even waterproof up to 140 PSI (300ft) for 30mins. COOL! Made in USA too!

If you are as crazy as me and want to get one too. Feel free to contact me via my email mindtheshark@msn.com for more information about getting one here in Singapore or even you do not belong to this part of the world in Asia.

For more details, pls visit www.foxfury.com and you will not be disappointed.
