I'm back but lazy to blog... LOL

Hey everyone, I am back.

Yesterday night... tough...

There are so many reels with me that I need to service. During servicing, I realised my old Shimano Stella 1000 has given up on me. It needs some spare parts to get it going again but apparently they are no longer in production. I guess I should let this reel rest in peace already. After so many years and it finally failed me... if only the spare parts are available... it will be ready for 'Reunion'.

Meanwhile, another reel has taken its place, Daiwa CALDIA KIX 2000. Hopefully it stands the test of time like Shimano Stella 1000 too which I doubt so, really.

My dear's Daiwa CALDIA KIX 2500's 'REAL FOUR' has shown wear on its gears after about 5 months of use. The wear becomes more significant after my trip in Nenasi.

Nowadays, Japanese reels are so finely built that they are not so robust anymore.

Oh well, at least the Daiwa CALDIA KIX's water proofing of drag by adding an additional seal to the spool cover is an excellent idea. No more worries about water getting into the drag and fail during battle.

After servicing so many reels last night... I'm going fishing on coming Tuesday again...

Oh, I just added a new rod into my collection, Major Craft DAY"S - SEASON. A nicely built travel rod which comes in four pieces. I have heard bad comments and seen a broken Season but I have heard good news too... I guess if you know your limits of your equipment and use them within their capability, failure will be minimised. Hopefully, I will get to use it soon.

Eeks!!! I just discovered my new TIEMCO Infante (blue) is sitting in my cupboard... still brand new... no reel has ever seated on it stilll... haiz... I am going fishing... I will.....

*the pictures of the trip will be out soon but not many photos taken though, nothing really spectacular in the trip but lots of nonsenses... lol*

I went shopping today... at Beach Road...

Yesterday, after meeting, I decided to pop by Beach Road to do some shopping. Not just to prepare myself for my up and coming fishing trip but also to check out some cool stuffs around.

I was always being 'intimidated' by this new toy that some of my 'cool' friends have. 'DX.LINE CLIPPER' by SMITH LTD. A super cool clipper that retails at $18.00!!! A great tool built not just for normal anglers but with flyfisherman in mind. It has a needle that swivels out at 180 degrees that facilitates as a needle for those hook's eye covered with Zap-A-Gap or generally ezpoxy.

My heart throttled upon seeing it behind the counter... "Could I have one of that please?" The friendly guy from AO, Alvin helped me with a nice grin.

Not just this, my dear got herself some really nice cool sotong jigs too. Talk about jigs... I got lost in jigs too... SMITH LTD.'s again...

Do I smell like 'SMITH'y?

LOL

No luck with milkfish again... but...

My friend just has all the luck for milkie. He landed one and lost one. The second one he lost was scary. The fish peeled line from the spool like nothing... The hook came lost after about 15s of encountering a speed monster...

The one landed was hurt in the gills, hopefully it could survive after the release as it swam away strongly after the release. Milkies are tough fish.

I LOST ONE!!! WHEN COULD I GET MINE TOO!!!

I escaped to the rainbow... looking for my pot of gold too...

The rainbow saved my day from the little terror and that pinky penguin!

Few days back at the pond... this cutie terrorised me!!!

As I was chatting on the phone...

The pink penguin and this cute little girl terrorised me...

Girls... they could be really scary...

SCARY!!!

Devils devils devils go away...

The pink penguin came terrorising me with lots of devils!!!

*tail kept in between legs and LL took all the beatings from the devil*

LOL

Milkfish Fever!!!

I was fishing for milkfish in a super 'secret' place...

On pole rod, my friend and I lost TWO!!!

Mine, swivel gave way... (BIG one leh)

My friend's? (He no skill...)

No choice... we took out fishing rod... and he hit one more...

*The above "He no skill..." is fictional but the fish is real... 2kg milkie...

What an ANT!?!!??!!!

Yesterday evening, young Mr Tan celebrated his birthday at Pasir Ris Town Park. His dad and family were kind enough to invite us along. We had a good time by the pond as food and drinks were plenty and tasty.

Everything seemed to be going on smoothly (just after we sang the birthday song) and the birthday cake was cut up and served.

I FOUND AN ANT SHARING MY PIECE OF CAKE TOO!!!

Trust me... you dont want to know what happened next...

_______________________________________________

Disclaimer: I didnt kill the ant hor. I let it go alive by sending a twister from within my throat. That's it.

Anyway, I found a piece of cake stranded on the table. Mr Yi was busy trying hard to 'revive' pliers and he left the cake alone on the table. By the way, it was ice cream cake from Swensen...

I could feel that the cake was crying... as it began to melt in Singapore's hot and humid weather.

I could hear that cake crying out loud, "EAT ME! EAT ME! EAT ME!!! PLEASE!!! I CANT BE WASTED JUST LIKE THAT. I AM MELTING... BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!! JUST EAT ME UP!!!"

How could I not help this poor little piece of cake with its last request. At death, this cake showed courage and valor...

I ATE THE CAKE...

Period.

Hmmm.... how did this happen?

I was riding last night to Pasir Ris Town Park and along the way... this happened...

I am still wondering how.

I did NOT crash or fall or got thrown off the bike.....

I went around a corner and I felt my footwear on my right was rubbing against the floor.....

I think I almost lost a toe instead... phew.....

******************************************************************

Oh, my dear readers asked me what actually happened here and what is that thing...

It is a bicycle pedal. The right side.

First time, first serve... fallen in love with... big head shrimp sashimi!!!

Our dear Encik Tan (SWO), promised us a big shrimp for Sat's night sashimi. He is indeed a man of his word, he captured a nice big shrimp for sashimi.

I was skeptical... but later I have fallen in love with raw big head shrimp...

Now you shrimps!!! WATCH OUT FOR THE SHARKIE!!!

*burpz!*

"Anymore???"

Some big shrimp..., 20060609

Nice big shrimps are all males... and maybe that's why they like to be 'hooked' by ladies instead.

Stuffed toy radio that works...

When I was young... the only thing I remember that I heard when I was sleeping is..... "NOTHING".

Look at technology! Stuffed toy radio that works!!!

It is playing symphony the whole day but somehow this stuffed thing works...

"A stuffed radio a day keeps the crying away?"

Glue... and not sharkfin soup...

Just a few days back, I went to Downtown East for dinner. I am not going to mention the name of the restaurant I went to but I think those who are familiar with that place knows where.

I was in the japanese restaurant which served buffet. After filling myself up several rounds (I am an glutton!), I have come to a conclusion.

"Know what is good and eat all you can!"

Why do I say so?

I chew several 'rubber bands'. I almost drank starch than soup. I left the rubber chicken alone. I left their jasmine tea alone on my table. I couldnt write more... I am getting nightmares from them... "GOD HELP ME!!!"

I swallowed many slices of salmon sashimi (not too bad). That's all I really remember... oh... one more, grilled salmon is not too bad either. Actually, as what I have mentioned, you have to know what is good and eat what is good then. Otherwise... hiccups here and there when trying different dishes.

Soup or starch... u decide...

Mr Tan (SWO Tan) is a regular at the prawn pond at Pasir Ris Town Park.

Yesterday evening, Mr Tan showed his 'power'!!!

He landed two pretty decent ones and straightaway I heard, " Looks like we need the wasabi soon..." (stomach groaling...)

*stomach growling...*

TATOO shrimp?

Check this out!!!

A shrimp with tatoo... what the...?

Pretty nice though...

Big shrimps in a tank...

Yesterday afternoon, the shrimp supplier arrived at about 3pm.

After unloading the small-medium shrimps... the next ones were the biggies.

Biggies... not really that giant lah but good enough to stir some 'shit' and 'noise' types... (LOL)

Seeing is believeing.
