Winner number 14th. At first, we thought that the fish in the pond were not biting... but when the 'Grouper Giveaway' started... so many fish landed!!! Hmmm.... I guessed when anglers concentrate hard, they would catch fish... Posted by Picasa

Another great smile, number 13th winner. Stay tuned, his wife was also a winner the next day. Posted by Picasa

Our dear staff Sam was standing by the spare grouper net to scoop up groupers for winners. He actually had some time to steal a puff. Haha Posted by Picasa

Zero_fighter joined the winners' gang too. Winner number six. Posted by Picasa

Fifth winner of the night. Posted by Picasa

The fourth winner won two groupers. Every grouper you catch you get 2 groupers!!! I could imagine 3 steamed groupers on his dinner table during Chinese New Year dinner. Posted by Picasa

The third winner with a nice barramundi too.  Posted by Picasa

Watch out for this man... LADY LUCK loves him... second winner of the night. Posted by Picasa

Just before the lucky draw and competition started yesterday night, this lucky chap was landing fish after fish... He was the star of the night and checked out the rest of the winners... he was also that lucky to win a few groupers!!! He was in LUCK!!! LADY LUCK loved him last night. Posted by Picasa

Grouper Obsession goes into PLAN B...

Sad to admit but the truth about operation 'Grouper Obsession' is absolutely a failure.

The day was slow slow slow... and we admit it!!!

On Friday, we tested our spare nets of groupers, almost immediately they started to have lip's piercing...

Then, on Saturday... all were so different... the groupers were kinda scared and refuse to bite. As the day progressed... we received more and more complains about not catching groupers.

Instead, our big golden snappers and barramundis started feeding!!! (We dont house biggies in nets due to their sizes and thus most of the biggies we ordered would be dumped into the pond immediately upon arrival.)

Luckily, the biggies opened their mouth otherwise alot of anglers would go home with a BIG FAT ZERO... we were sorry for those who didnt catch anything but sometimes we really have no choice when the fish refused to bite.

As for the number of groupers and the nets questions. Seriously lor, we have more than 500 hundreds of them and those remaining nets in the pond were used to house new fish when the fish truck arrived during noon. Those remaining nets in the ponds that were not released were new fish as we actually emptied 3 nets early in the morning hoping that these 3 nets of groupers would start feeding at 12 noon... but the initiation failed...

SO WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PROCEED TO 'PLAN B'.

From past experience, we knew that groupers dont feed immediately upon released and thus our groupers arrived a few days ahead of the event. Thus we kept 2 spare nets of groupers for emergency use. If you do your math... we have almost 600 groupers...

We started to have lucky draws - "Groupers Giveaway!!!" and prize money $100!!!

Stay tuned for the photos fo the winners...

Today, although there were so many groupers in the pond but somehow... they dont like the art of lips piercing...

We relived 'Groupers Giveaway' again...

There are still many groupers (800-1200g) in the pond and hopefully... they would start feeding soon... otherwise... many would get ready to flame PRPF and me too...

At least we tried and we even gave groupers away...

We wish all a HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

'GROUPER OBSESSION' during the day was slow...

Frankly speaking, the 'Grouper Obsession' is not really successful. Probably due to the weather... Somehow, this guy managed to hook up a big one just before the rain. Posted by Picasa

This gentleman even hooked up a GT which took him quite some time to bring it up. Well done sir! Posted by Picasa
