'2 + 1' promotion.

Today, there was a promotion of '2 + 1' from 8am to 8pm. '2 + 1' means buying 2hrs will get an hour free. The response is pretty good and many families actually had first time experience fishing for freshwater shrimps today.

Although the weather was quite humid and hot, nothing seemed to be able to quench the anglers' passion in shrimp fishing.

After much easy/medium/hard (novice/amatuer/pros) work, many enjoyed their harvest at the grill. The beer doubles the fun. The smiles on the anglers' face confirmed that... Posted by Picasa

Have you ever seen how shrimps could actually fall in neatly without command? Check this out! Posted by Picasa

A first timer showing off his priceless catch. I guess he will be back for more. Especially after he had tasted how good the freshwater shrimps could be from the grill. *winked*Posted by Picasa

Alvin was one of the lucky guy today who caught a freshwater lobster. Quite a number of these lobster were landed too during the '2+1' promotion. Although the weather in the afternoon was hot, many still cant resist the temptation to catch one of these. Posted by Picasa

Another part of my office other than the airconditioned room.

My new office... the ambience is so nice... Broken lights were fixed. Unsightly rod holders were removed. Area was totally cleaned up. More things will be implemented soon like no more foam floaters will be used. Genuine shrimp floaters will be used instead. Fish for shrimps with styles. Perfect place to chill out with your love ones and family!Posted by Picasa

The next shrimp master in the making...

After about 15mins, this young man was hauling prawns from the pond. He is only seven and he amazed my customer by catching 3 shrimps in a row in less than 5 minutes!!! His force is strong! Could you feel the aura or was it me alone??? I have met the new shrimp master of the future...

Re-stocking of live shrimps into the ponds.

Gigantic shrimps are really hard to find as these shrimps are all harvested from rivers in the wild and not from breeding farm. Sizes are not consistant but quality is definitely there as they are all wild ones. Average sizes are about 3-4inches for this top up. Since I took over the shrimp business, I am going to 'chiong' shrimps for the benefits of my customers. Thrice a week, not twice but THRICE a week, I am going to release shrimps into the pond and not the usual twice practice. Thank you friends who have come and showed your support, greatly appreciated. Trust me, you all wouldnt be disappointed. Posted by Picasa

Can anyone tell how many shrimps are there in this net? I cant myself but the only thing I know is that these shrimps are all swimming freely in the pond now waiting for anglers to 'bring' them home. Posted by Picasa

'FATCAT' CR 20051124

A happy 'fatcat' with his catches. Hey guys, thank you for the support, hope to see you all again. Thank you. By the way, these aint the only fish he caught. Although the night was slow but he still manged about 4-5 pieces. It is almost impossible not to catch anything from the pro pond.Posted by Picasa

The battle of the beauty and the lobster???

About after midnight, this beautiful young lady caught this freshwater lobster. The battle between lobster and beauty were very intensive. Everyone's eyes were glued to the scene which lasted for almost more than a minute... but after the battle ended I could still see some's eyes still glued to the..... NOT lobster lah..... She was kind enough to release the lobster into a fish tank behind her after catching it. Greatly appreciated...Posted by Picasa

The fellow anglers were all very happy and catching quite abit of shrimps for each of them. Since I have a grill there, I suggested that they should bbq them as these shrimps taste really good when bbq'ed. Thank you for the supports guys and gals. Hope to see you all back here again. Posted by Picasa

Hmmm..... this inverted shrimp sure is funny. Is it testing the grill's temperature? Posted by Picasa

What could be more rewarding when you win a little prize doing what you really like. At such weeeeeeee hours in the morning (around 6am), the handsome young man on the left caught his shrimp with a green bead tied to its tail entitling him to a dollar cash rebate.  Posted by Picasa

Ken san Junior's little catch report. :-)

Mr Ken san's junior, holding up a barramundi which he caught himself. His very first fish for the evening after he lost a real big one just a while ago. Ken was guiding his son through the battle and his son sure knew what his dad meant even when he was in the midst of the battle. I think I can see an aura around this young man who would become a great angler too in the future like his dad. Father, mother and son all went fishing together... if only I have a family myself too. Today, the weather had been very kind to my business. Not much rain and sunshine as well. Perfect day for fishing and freshwater shrimp fishing.
As usual, the Pro Fishing Pond were filled with anglers the whole day. No doubt, the fishing is great and many anglers were rewarded with decent catches.
As for the freshwater shrimp pond, things are really slow but in the morning, many kids enjoyed themselves very much while I was the guide to their success. The kids were all in secondary one and most of them know nothing about freshwater shrimp fishing. At first, the shrimps seemed to be too lazy to bite but the actual fact is, they dont really know how to fish for shrimps. With some guidance, I won the hearts of these young ones. They were all calling me Uncle this and Uncle that and suddenly I felt really old. When they left with their prize catch, I could see that each and everyone of them were very satisfied and they even promise me that they would be back. Very encouraging.
During evening, another group of teenagers of 14yrs old appeared. I felt really sorry for them as they caught only 1 shrimp for a hour!!! History repeated itself again and the song of the uncles started again... OMG!!! At least they didnt go home empty handed. Their smiles are my best rewards.
Things started to pick up later on in the night for shrimps fishing. Although the shrimps were all damn hungry and biting but the anglers were few. I tried myself today too. Almost every try there's a bite. Why no anglers then?
MARKETING!!!
Customer feedbacks that our shrimps are generally smaller but our shrimps are all natural from freshwater streams in M'sia.
As many have know, we even have yabbies in the ponds.
Check out the double hook ups by this couple.
